Jerry Ben Smiley

Jerry Ben Smiley, 73, passed away Saturday after battling a brief illness. Memorial: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at White's Chapel of Memories. Jerry Smiley was born May 7, 1938, son of the late Sam and Mary Griffin Smiley in San Angelo. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot and was a retired Captain for American Airlines. Jerry was preceded in death by his son-in-law, George Shockley. Survivors: wife, Mary Smiley; daughter, Sheryl Shockley; sons, Robert Smiley and Jerry Don Smiley; step-son, Charles Bogard; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
