Alford David Farrell, 81, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home. Alford David Farrell was born August 1, 1929, son of the late William and Althea Jones Farrell in Whites Chapel. He was a long time resident of Springtown. Mr. Farrell honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was employed for 43 years at General Dynamics. Alford loved to complete projects and tinker around his work shop. Livestock and gardening were a very important part of his life. Alford was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister. Survivors: wife, Mary Farrell; daughters, Bonnie Johnson and husband, Michael of Fort Worth, Cheryl Boyd and husband, Tim of North Richland Hills; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving friends and acquaintances.
