Gladys Dews Himes

Gladys Dews Himes, 91, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2011. Service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Central Christian Church in Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at White's Funeral Home. Gladys was born May 5, 1920 in Garner, daughter of the late Fred and Dona Dews. She was a resident of Weatherford for 48 years. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Himes in 1986. Survivors: Daughters, Charlene Birdwell and husband, Don of Fort Worth, Glenda Grable and husband, V.W. of Weatherford; sister, Lois Creed of Burleson; grandchildren, Gina Frontino, Brad Grable, Lacy Hall, Kristi Bonnema, and Lezli Jacobs; and nine great-grandchildren.
