WEATHERFORD -- Billy Stone, 75, went home to be with his Lord Saturday, July 16, 2011. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Billy Gene Stone was born Sept. 19, 1935, in Mabank. Bill had been a resident of Weatherford since 1948, and married his high school sweetheart, Louise Jackson, June 4, 1953. As a newlywed, Bill worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company and later for Mrs. Baird's Bread. Bill and Louise owned and operated several businesses through the years including grocery marts, a skating rink, a fabric store, and the local franchise of the Fort Worth Star Telegram. He also enjoyed working for the Weatherford Post Office in the past 20 years. Bill was known for his quick wit and always having a smile on his face. He loved life and adored his family. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Loyd Mack Stone; mother, Maudie Lee Cheek Stone; brothers, Racine and David Stone; and in 1997, the love of his life, wife, Louise Stone. Survivors: His children, Billy Stone Jr., and wife, Carla, daughter, Belinda Shipman and husband, Ronnie, daughter, Vickie Mulanax and husband, Tony, son, Paul Stone and wife, Shannon; sisters, Georgia Williams of Wichita, Kan., Annett Truelove and Lorena Friddle, both of Weatherford; grandchildren, Chaise Hudson, Summar Dalrymple, Chance Hudson, Jana Snow, Peppar Garvin, Chaley Wilson, Paige Bourland, Josh Stone, Lacee Stone, Hollee Stone, and Koby Stone; and 16 great-grandchildren.
