SPRINGTOWN -- Ty Wayne Butler, 48, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011, in Springtown. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hilltop Family Church, 1227 Old Cottondale Road, Springtown. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Ty Wayne Butler was born July 26, 1963, in Azle, the youngest of five children, to the late Jack and Shirley Hudgins Butler. Family was of the utmost importance to Ty and he loved them dearly. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother and friend. Ty married the former Ruby Maria Hendricks on Jan. 11, 1988. He worked at Ensearch for 20 years before beginning his career at Devon Energy in 2001, where he was currently employed as a supervisor. Ty could fix anything but really loved to play pool and be outdoors fishing and hunting. He was also extremely competitive at games and loved to play golf. Ty was very proud of the Dallas Mavericks' championship this year and loved to watch them. Ty graduated with the class of 1981 from Springtown High School and from TCJC in 1991, where he was on the dean's list. Ty was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. Survivors: Wife of 23 years, Ruby Butler of Springtown; daughters, Christen Butler and daughter, Tatumn, and Christen's fiance, Joshua Browning, all of Keller, and Danielle Butler of Springtown; sisters, Jackie Clifton and husband, Joel, of Spring, and Brenda Daily of Southlake; brother, Rip Butler and wife, Sonja, of Rhome; grandmother, Estell Hudgins of Grapevine; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
