Bob Newton Park

Bob Park, 76, a local businessman, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011. Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at White's Chapel of Memories. Interment: Spring Creek Cemetery. Bob Park was born May 2, 1935, in Weatherford, son of the late Curtis and Alleyne Voorhies Park. He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1953 where he excelled in football and was class president. Bob attended Texas A&M and graduated from Sam Houston State University. He married the love of his life, Audrey McCrary, in 1962. Bob was a longtime automobile salesman. He was owner and operator of Bob Park Motor Company in Weatherford. He was a charter member of the Parker County Amateur Radio Club and a member of Phoenix Masonic Lodge #275. Bob was a Presbyterian. Survivors: Wife, Audrey Park; son, Phil Park and wife, Michaella; daughter, Kathy Park Allbright and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Hannah Egger and husband, Dustin, Beau Willis and Ali Allbright; and three great-grandchildren.
