Phrona Bernice Selby Sanders, 91, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend, passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, September 10, 2011.Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at White's Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Avenue, Mineral Wells.Interment: Woodland Park Cemetery.Visitation: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.Officiating: Ronnie Davidson and Mike Stover.Phrona was born November 5, 1919 in Torrington, Wyoming to the late Akron and Modena Selby. She met and married Henry Sanders, who was from Haskel and worked in the C C Camps in Torrington, Wyoming, on August 3, 1940. They were long time residents of Mineral Wells and they enjoyed traveling together.Phrona had many jobs, but loved selling Avon and won many awards. In Mineral Wells, she worked at Ben Franklin and Electra, before retiring.Her grandchildren were a great blessing to her and she enjoyed growing her garden and having the grandchildren "sneak" her strawberries.Phrona was a member of Faith Fellowship Chapel and loved going to church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Sanders; grandsons, Michael Neugebauer and Mark Glover; granddaughter, Ranee Sanders; sons-in-law, Freddie Zimmerman and Ronnie Garrett; daughter-in-law, Hazel Sanders.Survivors: sons, Gordon Sanders and his wife, Betty, of Lubbock and Gary Sanders and Frankie Patton, of Mineral Wells; daughters, Jeanne Dickerson and her husband, Don, of Hawkins, Judy Neugebauer and her husband, Melvin, of Chattanooga, Oklahoma and Vicki Garrett-Kimpton and her husband, Allan Kimpton, of Mineral Wells; 18 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 14 great great-grandchildren; and many loving friends and church family.
