Norbert Royce Brinkley

Norbert "N. R." Brinkley, 73, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Fort Worth with his loving family by his side. Graveside Service: 10:00 A.M. Monday at Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home. N. R. was born June 29, 1940 in Weatherford to Mack and Evelyn Brinkley. He was employed for 36 years with GD/Lockheed and served 9 1/2 years with the Fort Worth Reserve Police Department. N.R. was very proud of his grandchildren and very much the family man. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, J.D. Green; and brother-in-law, Donnie Green. Survivors: Loving wife of 52 years, Jere Brinkley; children, Gary Brinkley and wife, Carolyn, Robin Brinkley-Shifflett and husband, Tony; grandchildren, Madeline and Luke; sister, Gloria Brinkley; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
