WEATHERFORD -- Dorothy Moore Lynch, 88, beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 at a local hospital.
Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Dorothy was born July 24, 1926, daughter of James E. and Ruth A. Barrett Moore in Seattle, Wash. She met her husband, John, in Seattle and they married after moving to Texas on March 3, 1947 in Dallas. They had many happy years together and were blessed with two wonderful sons, J. P. and Andy. Dorothy worked in the banking industry and also volunteered at Weatherford Regional Medical Center and at Manna Storehouse. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Weatherford. Dorothy loved gardening, but most of all, she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Perry Lynch, Sr.; her parents, James and Ruth Moore; sister, June Callahan; and grandchildren, Karen Lynch and Caulin Lynch.
Survivors: Sons, J. P. Lynch, Jr. and wife, Becky and Andy Lynch and wife, Patty; grandchildren, John Lynch, Jennifer Phillips, Jace Lynch and Emily Lynch; and many other loving family members and friends.
