Delbert A. Meyer

Delbert Meyer, 86, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 in Decatur. Service: 10 a.m. Wed., March 4, 2015 in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Annetta Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Delbert Alfred Meyer was born February 11, 1929 in Hagerman, NM, son of Alfred and Leora Harris Meyer. He married Lenell Dearson in Odessa in 1955 and they began their life together. Delbert had a servant's heart and volunteered his time for many years at Campbell Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Delbert was preceded in death by his wife Lenell in 2012, two sisters, and one brother. Survivors: Son, Carl Meyer and wife, Dawn; grand sons, Tyler and Matthew Meyer; sister, Alberta "Bertie" Hammonds; numerous nieces and nephews.
