Alice Stalling

MINERAL WELLS -- Alice Stalling, 89, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 in Mineral Wells. Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells. Alice was the youngest of five children born to Frances Thomas and Peter Sorensen in Georgia. Having been a military family they lived in many places including the Philippines. Alice met the love of her life, C. L. Stalling, at the skating rink in Mineral Wells. After a date and many letters, C. L. proposed when he got out of the Army. They were married at First Baptist Church in Mineral Wells on April 13, 1946. Alice was a housewife and a mother. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She loved to play dominoes with her family. Alice is survived by her four children, Anna Owens, Leon Stalling, Nancy Krause and husband, David, and Barbara Hummel and husband, Chris; four grandchildren, Lisa Richardson and husband, Ralph, Brandon Krause and wife, Amanda, Ryan Stalling and wife, Heather and Crystal George and husband, Landon; three great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.
