WEATHERFORD -- Louise Bedford, 81, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2015, at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Thursday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: City Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1934, to Naomi Morrow and V.E. Kemp Sr. in Weatherford. She married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Bill C. Bedford, on Nov. 27, 1953. In Bill's words, "there was never a finer woman." Together they shared a vast amount of love for their two daughters, family and friends.
After graduating from Weatherford High School in 1951, she attended LVN school and began her 45-year career at Campbell Memorial Hospital. She was also co-owner of Home Health Professionals Inc. She had a passion for helping others, always putting them first. Many in the community have a story about how Louise had delivered them, assisted in surgeries, or checked on them or their loved ones at some time or another. She had a positive impact on everyone's life she encountered.
She loved and cherished her grandchildren and their friends, and was lovingly known as "Bibbi" to many. Because of that love, her home was often filled with the friends of her daughters and grandchildren. She loved sports and could often be found at one of her grandchildren's sporting events.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, V.E. Kemp Jr.
Survivors: Louise will be greatly missed and leaves behind her husband of 61 years, Bill Bedford; daughter, Lesia Bosley and husband, Jim, and daughter, Gay Ray, all of Weatherford; grandchildren, Adam Bosley of Fort Worth, Ashley Bosley, Clay Kirkpatrick and Harrison Ray of Weatherford; half brothers, Charlie Kemp of Azle and Silas W. Kemp of Weatherford; half sisters, Dixie Trent and Jimmie Cornelson, both of Weatherford; and dear, special and faithful friends, Tiny Manning and Sharon Woody.
