Visitation will be held at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford on Monday from 6 - 8 p.m.
Mudflap was not one to get all “Gussied Up,” so y'all come as you are. As he so often said, “Be Particular” and as always “Save Him a Seat!”
Mudflap held a special place with countless family members, close friends, acquaintances, and even complete strangers. He was one who could spin a tale that captured the hearts and imaginations of all those who were lucky enough to be within earshot.
Behind his ample and waxed handlebar mustache came all accounts of his roles as truck driver, home builder, tool pusher, and car collector just as easy as his grand tales of Harley steer wrestling, auction bidding, plane flying, monkey smuggling, and...oh yeah, car collecting.
Only the size of his heart could overshadow his stature or personality. His friendly “How y'all are?” greeting and laughing eyes embraced so many throughout his unique and special life that spanned more than 3 generations and crossed 4 continents.
Mudflap honorably served his country as a Corporal MP in the Korean War, proudly earning his Korean Service Medal as well as a Bronze Star Medal.
He epitomized the very definition of “Genuine”, and how lucky we all were to be a part of such a wonderful life.
Survivors: An overwhelming amount of loving family members and friends.
