MINERAL WELLS -- Clyde Alton Smith, 79, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Monday at City View Community Church, 3800 Ram Blvd., Mineral Wells.
Interment: Staggs Prairie Cemetery, Palo Pinto County.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home, 101 N. E. 4th Ave., Mineral Wells.
Clyde was born October 22, 1935 in Mineral Wells, son of Gordon and Lola Dillon Smith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, rodeo, fishing, watching football and truck driving. Clyde loved meeting his brothers for coffee and breakfast.
He was preceded in death by daughters, Sheila Durant and Connie Horton; two brothers, John Tom and Carl Smith; one grandson, Cody Owens; and his first wife, Flora Merlene Smith.
Survivors: Wife of 41 years, Cherryl Smith; son, Buddy Smith and wife, Carolyn, of New Caney; daughters, Gayle Joslin and husband, Ray, of Porter, Karen Brown and husband, Johnny, of Graham, Lola Gray and husband, Steve, of Madill, Okla., and Marion Threatt and husband, Randy, of Mansfield; brothers, Loyd, Marvin, Jerry, Milton, Larry and Buford; sisters, Pat Brown, Debbie Lack, Billie Howard, Sherry Robertson, Loretta Davis and Melinda Smith; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
