Jerry Lynn Hooser a retired radio broadcaster passed away Friday, May 29, 2015 in a Weatherford nursing facility.
Graveside Service: 1:00 P.M. Monday at Ash Creek Cemetery, 300 S. Stewart, Azle 76020.
Visitation: 5 to 7 P.M. Sunday at White's Azle Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, 76020.
Jerry was born June 24, 1940 in Memphis,Texas to Bonis and Blanche Hooser. He was a D.J. and Sales manager for 25 years from 1960 to 1980 at KBAN /Radio in Bowie, Texas. He was owner and manager of KBGH in Memphis, Texas.
After moving to the Fort Worth area, he was owner of Melody Ranch Auto Sales. He retired from Fort Worth ISD as a bus driver. Jerry was an inactive member of the Bowie Masonic Lodge; plus a 32 degree Shriner in Fort Worth. His hobbies included photography and collecting antique cars.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Son Cody Lynn Hooser and wife, Amy; grandsons, Logan and Bryson; sisters, Sharon Black of Everman and Vicki Smith and husband, Stevie of San Angelo; fiancee, Mary Lou Bartee; former wife and best friend, Barbara Seiber; and several nephews and nieces.
