Weatherford -- Charlotte Ann Skidmore, a life-long resident of Weatherford, entered eternal life on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the age of 72.
Her loving spirit is carried on by her son, Doug Skidmore of Weatherford; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and LaDelle Springer, of Conroe; nephew, Matt Springer and his wife, Carolynn, of The Woodlands; niece, Sarah Leone and her husband, Joel, of Spring; great niece, Emily Springer; and great nephews, Garrett Springer and Nathan Leone; in addition to many wonderful extended family members and close friends - all of whom brought great joy to her life. She is preceded in death and reunited in heaven with her parents, Charles and Wanda Springer.
Charlotte received her Bachelor's Degree from Texas Woman's University, and went on to earn her Masters of Arts in English. She was an amazing English teacher at Weatherford High School for many years and finished her career at Peaster High School as a gifted and talented English teacher. Through the years, Charlotte touched many people, made lasting friendships and helped to instill values and shape young lives. . . many who have stayed in touch with Charlotte years after graduation.
After retirement, Charlotte was able to spend precious time with her son, Doug, and knit beautiful pieces for those she loved. Her smile and loving spirit would light up a room and she always gave of herself selflessly.
Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Viewing and visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. and funeral service will begin at 2 p.m.
