M. "Doc" Donald Swearingin

WEATHERFORD -- M. Donald "Doc" Swearingin, 85, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home. Doc was born January 5, 1930 in Weatherford. He married the love of his life, Christine, on December 24, 1949 and they spent 61 happy years together, and raised two wonderful sons. Doc retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 41 years as a repair tech. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Christine Swearingin; son, Donald Wayne, Detective/Chief of the Coppell Police Department; his parents; and one brother. Survivors: Son, Tim Swearingin and wife, Kathy, of Weatherford; grandson, Jeremy Swearingin and wife, Ashley, of Weatherford; granddaughter, Ashli Johnson and husband, Danny; great-grandchildren, Addison Swearingin, Kaleigh Swearingin, Shelby Swearingin and Brycen Johnson; and many other loving family members and friends.
