Jimmie Dean "Jim" Young, 70, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, July 1st, 2015. Jim was born on May 6th, 1945 to Marvin Henry "Steve" Young and Millie Jeline Hall at the Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jim graduated from Weatherford High School in 1963. He served in the U.S. Navy and eventually graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelors of Business Administration. Jim owned several businesses and Real Estate throughout Weatherford. Jim was a private pilot and enjoyed to fly his Bellanca Super Viking airplane. He was a member of the Bung Ho Fishermans Club, which included many of his fellow High School classmates. He loved to travel and had visited Brazil, China, Europe, and Central America. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Henry "Steve" Young, his mother Millie Jeline Young Webb, and his older brother Donald Young. He was survived by his daughter, Monica Beatty and her husband, Bill, of Paris, Texas; his sons, J. D. Young and his wife, Vanessa, of Weatherford, Texas, and J. Young, of Weatherford, Texas; his grandchildren, Jaden, D., Elijah, and Millie; his brother, Marvin “Butch” Young of Spokane, Washington; his sister, Ann Durant and husband, Chubby of Weatherford, Texas; his nephew, Paul Prather of Weatherford Texas; and ex-wife, Kathy Young of Weatherford, Texas. His visitation is set for Monday, July 6th, 2015 from 6 pm – 8 pm. Funeral Services will be at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford, Texas on Tuesday, July, 7th, 2015 at 2 pm.
