Suzanne was born July 15, 1939, in Weatherford, daughter of Earl and Thelma Russell. She was an only child and her dear family and friends assisted her in adjusting from her singular focus to the greater world around her. Suzanne met her husband, Ronnie Wooten, while she was attending TCU and he was a student at Texas Tech. The highway between Lubbock and Fort Worth became a weekend artery that molded a relationship for a lifetime. They were married 10 months after meeting and shared 56 years together.
Suzanne bore three children, Michele, Scott and Eric, followed by four grandchildren, Russell, Reece, Jacob and Hazel. She continued her college career, ultimately graduating in 1968 with a bachelor of science in education. Though she studied biology with the assumption that she would run a clinical testing lab, she hadn't anticipated a 10-year professional gap spent raising her family. Upon re-entering the workforce, she nurtured a new interest in interior design, ultimately with on-the-job experience achieved the necessary criteria for obtaining her license to practice. Suzanne led a popular firm for both commercial and residential projects. In the late 1990s, the first symptoms of atypical Parkinsonism appeared and ultimately led to her early exit from her professional life. Though the deterioration was inexorable, she maintained an active and engaged life for many years before succumbing to the inevitable progression of her disease and spending her final years in a assisted-living facility.
Suzanne was a lifelong member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Upon marrying, she became a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Fort Worth.
