WEATHERFORD -- Paul Riecken, 82, beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Friday, July 31, 2015 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 16250 Old Weatherford Rd., Aledo.
Visitation: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday with Rosary at 7 p.m. in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Inurnment: At a later date in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.
Paul was born May 31, 1933 in Moorcroft, Wyoming, son of Claus and Christine Riecken. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Science and made his living as a Civil Engineer in Road Construction. Paul met the love of his life, Marcella Obritsch and they married July 23, 1988 in Sheridan, Wyoming. They moved to Weatherford in 2009 and became members of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hilda Aldrich; and brother, Herman "Bud" Riecken.
Survivors: Loving wife of 27 years, Marcella Riecken of Weatherford; sons, Ronald Riecken and wife, Holly, of Rockland, Calif., David Riecken of Denver, Colo. and Russell Riecken and wife, Nicole, of Superior, Colo.; step-daughter, Norena Barbula of Story, Wyo.; six grandchildren; brothers, Hugh Riecken and wife, Leslie; sister, Margaret Lewis; and many other loving family members and friends.
