Obrey Smith, 70, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015. Service: 10:00 A.M. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 5 to 7 P.M. Thursday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Obrey was born in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Obrey Obed and Helen Juanita Smith. He loved to ride horses and spending time with his family. Obrey was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; and three brothers. Survivors: Wife, Kay Smith; daughter, Teresa Mathis and husband, Byron of Poolville; sons, Bobby and Ricky Smith both of Azle; daughter, Sheila McDonald of Springtown; grandsons, Mequade Cole and wife, Scamper; and Trenton Cole and wife, Erica, Riley Gary and Dylan Smith; granddaughters, Caitlin Cole and Madison Gary; great-grandsons, Lawson Cole and Ranson Cole; brothers, Butch and Jerry Smith.
