John "Buddy" Adron Elders

WEATHERFORD -- John Adron "Buddy" Elders, Jr., 92, beloved husband, father and friend, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2015. There is no service planned at this time. John was born October 22, 1922 in Bennett, son of John Adron Elders, Sr. and Olive Myrtle Jones Elders. He graduated from Millsap High School, Weatherford College and Navy Midshipmen School. John met and married the love of his life, Margaret Jane Ross on September 8, 1945, and he passed away after they had celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on September 8, 2015. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford and a charter member of Emanuel Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Melody Elders; sisters, Jerry Rathburn, Geneva Young and Dorothy Banker; and brother, Roy Elders. Survivors: Loving wife of 70 years, Jane Elders of Weatherford; and son, Craig Elders of Fort Worth; and a host of loving family members and friends.
