Robert Nodell Dennis, 72, a devoted, loving, and caring husband, father, granddad, and brother, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, after a short battle with cancer.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at North Side Baptist Church, 910 North Main, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at White's Springtown Funeral Home.
Nodell was born December 22, 1942 to Robert and Jewel Ruth Dennis, in Fort Worth. He graduated from Springtown High School and attended Weatherford College and Corpus Christi A & M University. He married the love of his life, Carol Sue, in 1965.
Nodell dedicated his life to the ministry and attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He served many years as a Pastor in churches in Arkansas and Texas, and as Director of Missions for the Blue River Kansas City Baptist Association, before retiring to Springtown in 2007. His legacy is a lifetime of service; of loving people and leading them to the Lord. Nodell was also an avid horseman and loved nothing more than to work outside on his ranch.
The family would like to thank all of his doctors and nurses at Harris Methodist Fort Worth Oncology Unit and Gentiva Hospice, Fort Worth.
Nodell was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cassius Dennis and Richard Dennis; granddaughter, Summer Clark; and grandson, Cody Parrick
Survivors: Wife of 50 years, Carol Sue; daughters, Jan Clark and husband, Todd of Bristow, OK, and Julie Parrick and husband, David of Lake Worth; son-in-law, Len Winter, Bristow, OK; sisters, Teresa Keen and Trella Hughes; grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Brett Winter, Alex Winter, Avery Clark, and Georgia Rose Parrick (on the way); loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the YMCA's Camp Carter or North Side Baptist Church Missions.
