BROCK -- Michael "Mike" Brown, 63, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
Funeral service: 1 p.m. Monday at North Side Baptist Church, 910 N. Main St., Weatherford, 76086. Interment: Private Burial. Visitation: 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at North Side Baptist Church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to memorial account at PlainsCapital Bank to benefit the Weatherford College Equine Program and Rodeo Team.
Mike was born September 4, 1952 in Dumas to Kenneth and Dorothy Brown. He graduated from Dumas High School, then received his Bachelor's in Animal Science and his Master's Degree in Education at Tarleton State University. He was currently the Professor of Agriculture at Weatherford College for the past 35 years. He also served as Rodeo Coach and Collegiate Livestock Judging Coach. He served and mentored youth at many levels, from county livestock shows, state fairs, and coaching little league baseball.
Mike's love for the Lord was evident in every aspect of his life. He was devoted to serving the Lord and leading others, including his first grade Sunday school class, to salvation.
Mike's children, grandchildren, family and friends were his everything. He leaves behind a legacy of love.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife of 40 years, Sheryl Brown; daughter, Staci Tyler and husband, Matt; son, Ty Brown and wife, Blandi; grandchildren, Mattye, Torrye, Case, Jaggar, and Tylee; sisters, Karan Swint and Stephanie Williams and husband, Greg; and nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.
