WEATHERFORD -- Joe Castillo, 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at his home surrounded by family.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Curtis Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday with a Rosary at 7:00 at White's Funeral Home.
The service will be officiated by Rev. Francisco Pineda.
Joe was born in Gonzales on July 28, 1938 to Joe and Annie Castillo. He lived in Morrill, Neb. until 1950 and then relocated to Lyman, Neb. in 1963 where he began a 30 plus year career with Hort Farms. Joe married Maria Andrea Rodriguez in Laredo on December 5, 1967. He then moved his family to Scottsbluff, Neb. where they resided until 1992. He retired in 1994 and relocated to Weatherford.
Joe had a passion for music, fishing and family. He spent most of his days enjoying time with his family. We will carry his memory forever in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Maria of Weatherford; daughters, Elsie Castillo of Weatherford, Juanita Castillo of Weatherford, Mary Annie (Juan) Cardenas of Lincoln, Neb.; son, Daniel (Lisa) Castillo of Weatherford; brothers, Frank Castillo of Lincoln, Neb., Thomas Castillo of Tampa, Fla., Fred Castillo and Paul Castillo of O'Donnell; sisters, Gloria Phillips and Juanita Brock of Lincoln, Neb., Lucia Torres of Houston, Lupe Castillo of Lubbock, Lenora Castillo of Lincoln, Neb., Susie Moreno of Levelland, Diana Santos and Christina (Joe) Renteria of O'Donnell, Sandra Gonzales of Grand Island, Neb.; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
