WEATHERFORD -- Eula Mae Shaw, 87, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015 at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Service: 12 noon Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Interment: Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells.
Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Eula was born December 15, 1928, daughter of Loren and Ora Johnson McCarty in Spur. She loved listening to Country Christmas music, reading and enjoyed going to the casino in Laughlin, Nev. Eula made delicious homemade jelly and desserts, but the chili family feast in October was one of her favorites. More than anything, Eula loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jessie Darrell Shaw on Sept. 25, 2000; grandson, Jerry Lynn Watts; son-in-law, John Reed; young sisters, Verba Ruth McCarty, Lenora Lee McCarty and Margaret LaVada McCarty; and infant brother, Loren McCarty.
Survivors: Daughters, Linda Watts and husband, Jerry, Gloria Evans and husband, Billy, and Brenda Rigsby and husband, Gary; son, Jimmy Shaw; grandchildren, Tammy Lovell and husband, Gary, Melissa Burns and husband, Johnny, James Reed and wife, Amber, Jonna Rigsby and Jason Reed and wife, Shadonna; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
