Alva "Scotty" William Scott

ALEDO -- Alva "Scotty" Scott, 73, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, 221 W. Church St., Weatherford. Interment: Annetta Cemetery, Annetta. Alva William "Scotty" Scott was born December 19, 1942 in San Antonio, son of Marvin W. and Janie Pearl Garner Scott. He graduated from Texas Wesleyan University. Scotty was a district executive for the Boy Scouts of America in Beaumont and Wichita Falls. The majority of his career was with Germania Insurance Co., and he was with them until he retired. Scotty's children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife of 49 years, Betty Tucker Scott of Aledo; children, Brian D. Scott and wife, Michelle, of Fort Worth and Melody Freeman and husband, Harry, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Carson and Avery Scott; brothers, Don Scott and wife, Jan, of Midwest City, Okla. and Larry Scott of Shawnee, Okla.; several nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members and friends.
