Birdie "Susie" Sue Edwards

Birdie Sue "Susie" Edwards WEATHERFORD -- Susie Edwards, of Weatherford, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2016, after a brief illness. Susie was born in Houston on October 1, 1939. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dallas in 1957. Susie was an avid painter, reader, and a lover of animals, great and small, especially her treasured pets. She loved her country very much and supported many patriotic causes. Susie was especially fond of Colorado, where she loved feeding the deer, and feeling the snow on her face. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Que D. Edwards, III. Susie is survived by the love of her life, and husband of "100 years", Q. D. Edwards, Jr.; daughters, Robin Lewis and husband, Dave, of Lubbock and Christy Posch of Evergreen, Colorado; grandsons, Justin Langley of Terry, Montana, Christian Langley of Alvarado and Que Edwards, IV and family, of Fort Worth; son-in-law, Robert Langley of Alvarado; and her beloved dogs, Fancy, Yum Yum, Juliet and Scarlett. A private service was held in Weatherford, with burial at Memory Gardens of the Valley.
