Hugh Allen Harris

Hugh Allen Harris, 76, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016. Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 600 NW 6th St, Mineral Wells, 76067. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Providence Hospice, 300 Highway 6, Waco, 76712. Hugh was born August 24, 1939 in Fort Worth to Jack and Margueritte Harris. After attending college for 2 years, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and proudly served for 4 years. After he was discharged, Hugh worked for Xerox and retired after 37 years. He married Shari Adele on October 3, 1971 and together they raised 2 children, Allen and April. Hugh was a good man and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: wife of 45 years, Shari Harris; children, Allen Harris and wife, Karen, and April Whitaker; and granddaughter, Meagan Whitaker.
