WEATHERFORD -- Faye Ruth Woody, of Weatherford, went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on March 11, 2016. She was 75 years old. Faye was born on March 1, 1941 in Weatherford to Garland and Mary Lou Daniel.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Kenneth Woody; daughter, Mary Woodfin and her husband, Steve, of Stanton, Texas; son, Bob Woody and wife, Brenda, of Austin, Texas; son, Scott Woody and wife, Patricia, of Mansfield, Texas; and daughter, Janet Pascarella and husband, Nick, of Weatherford, Texas; her 10 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Bettye Gilley; and brothers, Lewis and Wayne Daniel.
Faye worked in the Parker County Clerk's office for over two decades as the Chief Deputy County Clerk. She proudly served the people of the county and loved her work. Faye loved to travel and did so extensively alongside her husband and children. Their travels included Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon and numerous other national parks; the 1980 winter and 1984 summer Olympics, Europe and the Caribbean. Although she had many interests, her love of family was the most important thing to her. Her gift in life was her caring heart, she loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved each and every one of them deeply as they loved her also.
Pallbearers include: Trey Woodfin, grandson, of Midland, Texas; Clay Woody, grandson, of Austin, Texas; Matt McKnight, husband to granddaughter Jenniann, of Austin, Texas; Scott Leiker, husband of great-granddaughter Emily, of Keller, Texas; and PJ Gilley, grandson of sister, Bettye Gilley, of Fort Worth, Texas. Officiant will be Tommy Galik.
A funeral service will be held Friday, March 18th at 2 p.m. at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford with a visitation on Thursday, March 17th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Faye's life. Flowers and condolences can be sent to White's Funeral Home in Weatherford, Texas.
