Donna Kay McBratney

Donna "Kay" Holder McBratney, aged 66, died on March 15, 2016. Kay was born August 12, 1949, in Snyder, Texas, the daughter of Vernon O. Rannefeld and Hazel Rannefeld. Kay graduated from Snyder High School and attended Texas Tech University, where she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts. In 1975, Kay married Steven O. Holder from Snyder, Texas and began their family in Midland, Texas, where they spent twenty three years of marriage. In addition to raising their three daughters, she also volunteered at numerous facilities and churches. She spent her free time spreading her love of God, creating beautiful art, and enjoying the mountains in Ruidoso, NM. In her last eight years, she had moved to Weatherford, Texas to enjoy her retirement years in the country. She was blessed with a wonderful life, new friends and job, and lived out her final dreams close to her children and grandchildren who adored her. Kay is survived by her brother, James Rannefeld, his wife and family; Daughters, Somer Holder of Plano, Texas, Saige and her husband Tony Swedin of Argyle, Texas, and Selia and her husband Cameron Wood of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren Andrey, Gosha, Ethan, Atty, and one unnamed on the way; and a number of other relatives and close friends. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Chandor Gardens in Weatherford, Texas on April 10, 2016 from 12-2.
