Vancil "Tram" Wayne Trammell

AZLE -- Vancil Wayne "Tram" Trammell, 98, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016. Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Azle Christian Church, 117 Church St., Azle, 76020. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, 76020. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Azle Christian Church. Tram was born Nov. 23, 1917, in Lamesa. He was a self-employed Azle businessman for 75 years. His work spanned from owning and operating a grocery store to a restaurant and an art gallery. Also his love of stonework can be seen up and down Main Street in Azle. He was also a member of Azle Christian Church, Azle Rotary, Moslah and Azle Shriners, and Azle Masonic Lodge. He was a hard- working man who will be greatly missed. Tram was preceded in death by wife of 71 years, Audrey Trammell; parents; brothers; sisters; and grandson. Survivors: Children, Barbara Jett, Diana Yale and husband, Nick, and Larry Trammell and wife, Helen; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many friends.
