Christy "Mema" Hampton Wedel Durant passed away Monday, March 21, 2016. Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: Tin Top Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home. Mema was born Oct. 5, 1953, in Fort Worth to Johny and Gay Hampton. Through her whole life, Mema loved to take care of people, whether it be her family, friends or those she cared for while being a part of home health care. She leaves behind a great legacy and will be missed by all who knew her. Mema will be joining in heaven her first husband, Robert Wedel; her parents; and her brother, Mike Hampton. Survivors: Loving husband, C.J. Durant; son, Eric Wedel and wife, Sara Wedel; daughter, Candace Russell and fiance, Doug Porter; stepson, Justin Durant and girlfriend, Kayleigh Coleman; grandchildren, Jessica Morgan, Taylor Wedel and girlfriend, Shelby Willcox, Erica Wedel, Brittney Russell, Maddox Galloway, Aubry Wedel and Saber Wedel; and great-grandchild, Cole Remington Morgan.
