Talbert Lee Allen

WEATHERFORD -- Talbert Lee Allen, 75, passed away in a Fort Worth hospital on Monday, May 2, 2016. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday at Spring Creek Baptist Church, 100 Spring Creek Road, Weatherford. Interment: Spring Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Talbert was born in Hereford on Feb. 1, 1941. He was in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964, serving aboard the submarine USS Clamagore. Talbert met the love of his life in Weatherford. He and June Norris were married on July 26, 1963. They settled on their farm at Spring Creek. In addition to running the farm, Talbert worked for American Airlines for 30 years. Survivors: Wife of 52 years, June Allen; daughter, Laura Coffey and husband, Greg; grandsons, of whom he was very proud, David Coffey and Brandon Schack; brother, Larry Taylor; and sister, Kay Taylor.
