Fort Worth -- Richard Wright Wilson, 66, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Grace First Presbyterian Church, 606 Mockingbird Ln., Weatherford. Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Memory Gardens of the Valley, 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. The family invites you to wear bright orange which represents kidney cancer to honor Dick. Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations may be made in Richard's memory to the American Cancer Society. Richard was born July 2, 1949 in Weatherford, son of Burhl Wheeler Wilson and Nell Dean Wright Wilson. He grew up in Weatherford where he was active in scouting and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Richard also worked as a lifeguard at the country club and graduated from Weatherford High School. He then attended University of Houston. Richard worked for many years in human pharmaceutical sales and later went into the animal health care industry. He enjoyed deer and bird hunting, boating and being on the water and was also an avid golfer. Richard found great joy in being active in his children's many school activities as they grew up, especially the Lewisville Lady Farmers soccer and volleyball teams. He attended Grace First Presbyterian Church growing up. Richard was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Chad Fletcher. Survivors: Wife of 29 years, Vicki Wilson; daughters, Melanie Fletcher and Mandi Myers and husband, Mike; son, Ryan Wilson; grandsons, Travis Fletcher and Liam Myers; granddaughter, Allie Myers; brother, Larry Wilson and wife, Stephanie; nephew, Carl Wilson and wife, Deidra; niece, Ellie Mensch and husband, Vlad; great nephew, West Wilson; in-laws, Jimmy and Morell Garrett; sisters-in-law, Janice and Jimmi Garrett; his co-workers at Zoetis Animal Health; and many other loving family members and friends.
