Rondell "Tub" Brackett

Rondell "Tub" Gene Brackett, 83, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016 in Decatur. Funeral: 10 am Friday, June 10, 2016 at New Beginnings Church, 612 Goshen Road, Springtown. Interment: Smithfield Cemetery, 6704 Smithfield Road, North Richland Hills. Visitation: 9 to 10 am prior to the service at the church. Tub was born January 26, 1933 in Tahlequah OK and moved to Texas at 19 where he would meet and marry Martha Nell Farrell. They shared a life for 61 years and raised four children. He retired from UNT and enjoyed playing the fiddle. Tub was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha Nell Farrell Brackett; father, Thomas Ellis Brackett; mother, Jeanie Wheely; brother, John E. Brackett; and great grandson, Mark Clinton Eustace. Survivors: Children, Rhoda Eustace and husband, Jack of Boyd, Bettye Brown and husband, Bobby of North Richland Hills, Randy Brackett of Springtown, and Allen Brackett and wife, Michelle of Springtown; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Mige Brackett of Park Hill, OK, Lola Mae Willis and husband, John of Pineville, MO, John Brackett and wife, Pearlene of North Richland Hills, Frank Brackett and wife, Judy of Rocky Mt., Carol Bush and husband, Jerry of Welling, OK, Jeff Brackett and wife, Connie of Broken Arrow, OK. Tub will be greatly missed.
