Melba Lanier, 96, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 in Weatherford.
Funeral Service: 11 am Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church, Azle. Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at White's Funeral Home, Azle. Interment: 11 am Thursday at Garden of Memories in Lufkin.
Melba was born June 9, 1920 in Lufkin, to the late David and Lula Rowin. She grew up in Lufkin and graduated from Lufkin High School. Melba married Hollis Fuller on Valentine's Day in 1942. He was in the
Air Corp. so they were moved several times. They lived in Amarillo, San Angelo and other places. Hollis and Melba were married for 31 years when he passed away. She was married two more times, she married Dennis Johnston and later in life married Sam Lanier.
She was a homemaker and a beloved mother. Melba was a Christian lady and loved going to church every Sunday.
Melba was preceded in death by husbands, Hollis Fuller and Sam Lanier; parents; sister, Nellie Williams; brothers, Harvey Rowin and Buster Rowin; and daughter-in-law, Ann Fuller.
Survivors: Son, Terry Fuller; grandson, Mark Fuller; great grandson, Hunter Fuller; several nephews, nieces, and loving family members.
