AZLE -- Jaunita Louise Holt, 90, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 21, 2016.
Services - A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Briar Church of Christ, 109 W N Woody Rd., Azle.
Visitation - 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday at White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Tr., Azle.
Jaunita was born in Boyd on October 15, 1925 and lived most of her life in Azle. She fell in love and married Dan Moody Holt on August 7, 1946, and they lived together happily until Dan's death in 1993. The family were devoted Christian members of the Briar Church of Christ and participated throughout their lives, until health issues prevented their attending.
Jaunita dedicated her life to raising two sons and many grandchildren. She was also always ready to help those in need, and was a regular visitor to friends at the local nursing home. Her care and kindness to those in need isn't easily forgotten. No sacrifice was too much, even moving in with her ill sister-in-law to tend to her throughout the end of her life.
She loved working and creating jewelry and also had several projects going at once. She loved spending time with her family and those holidays and special times were always lined with her famous home cooking and special treats.
Jaunita was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Moody Holt; one brother; and one grandchild.
The family wishes to thank all who cared for her during her last years!
Survivors: Sons, Jimmie Ray Holt and wife, Barbara; Dan O. Holt and wife, Leticia; Brother, Bobby Person and wife, Sandy; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
