ALEDO -- Gerald Stockon, 77, passed away Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016.
Service: 10 a.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, 76086.
Interment: Aledo-Brown Cemetery in Aledo.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home.
Gerald was born Feb. 19, 1939, in Detroit, Mich., to Murel and Jewell Stockon. He was very active within the community of Aledo, where he resided since 1970. He was a member of the volunteer fire department and worked for Aledo ISD in custodial and security services.
Gerald had many passions in life, including supporting the Aledo Bearcats and the Dallas Cowboys. But his greatest prides in life were his family and his ever-growing list of grandchildren. He enjoyed every moment he spent with them. They were the lights of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dora Dean Stockon; daughter, Twilla Sue Hecox; grandson, Kristopher McBrayer; great-granddaughter, Jayden Gonzales; three sisters; one brother.
Survivors: Children, Pat Green and husband, Clyde, Gary Hecox and wife, Susan, Bill Hecox and wife, Debbie, Debbie Jacobs and husband, Leon, Pam Atkinson and husband, Rick, Sherry Stockon, Jerry Stockon and wife, Deneise, and Candy Rich and husband, Russell; 28 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren with three on the way; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
