Bettie Gene Sallee

Bettie Sallee, 72, beloved wife of 52 years, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2016. Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Bettie was born in West to William and Mattie Winkle. She dearly loved her family, going to grandchildren's ball games, school events, shopping and sitting on the front porch. Bettie was always a room mother for her children. She liked to baby sit the grandkids and doing crafts. Bettie had lots of family pictures on her walls. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Dilldine, Linda Kendrick and Charlotte Nansteal; brother, Kenny Dowis. Survivors: Husband, Roy Sallee; daughters, Melissa Bailey and husband, Steve, Diana Foster and husband, Steve; son, Roy Allan Sallee; brothers, Chloe Dowis, Johnny Dowis and Doug Dowis; sisters, Sandra Windham and husband, Rick and Karen Welch and husband, Johnny; grandchildren, Steven Hurdle and wife, Erin, Paige Foster, Blake Foster, Tyler Sallee and Kaylee Sallee; great-grandchild, Zackary Hurdle; several nephews, nieces and loving family members.
