Donald Eugene Gibson

Donald Eugene Gibson, 85, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Don was born on August 6, 1931 in York County, PA to Martha Emma Berger and Charles Rutledge Gibson. Don retired from the Army after 20 years of service in 1968, and went to work at the Post Office on January 2, 1969 and retired from there on November 1, 1986. Don was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, and the love of his life, Betty Gibson. Survivors: Nephew, Steve Boyanoski; great nephew, Joe Rebolledo and wife, Robin; great niece, Karin Sanders and husband, Chad; great great nieces, Robin Thomas and husband, Tyler, Kolby Trammell, and Dillon Atkinson; nephews, David Barnhart of York, PA., and Steven Barnhart of Ellicoltt City, MD.; many other nieces and nephews in Satiago, Chile.
