Vera Evans

Vera Lou Evans, 86, passed away Friday, September 16, 2016. Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Cemetery. Vera was born January 7, 1930 in Fort Worth. She spent her earlier years in Fort Worth and then moved to Boyd where she graduated high school. Vera married B.F. Hayes in 1948 and raised a family. She was a Christian woman and was raised in the Baptist church. She is preceded in death by her first husband, B.F. Hayes; her second husband, Sid Evans; and son, James Hayes. Survivors: Son, Wayne Hayes and wife, Sharon; brother, Gene Autry and wife, Peggy; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
