Winford Roden

Winford Roden, 80, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away Saturday, September 24, 2016 at his home. Graveside Service: 2:30 P.M. Monday at Ebenezer Cemetery. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Winford was born September 12, 1936 in Whitt to Edd and Estelle Mitchell Roden. He enjoyed dancing, he danced on his 80th birthday one week before his death. Winford loved fishing, talking, telling stories, watching TV and riding his bicycle. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Alvina. Survivors: Wife, Kay Roden; Sons, Timothy Roden and wife, Angela, and Marshall Roden; daughter, Mary Symonds; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; stepsons, Robert Wice and Wesley Wice; brother, Jack Pruitt; special niece, Joann Clark; 11 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren.
