Robert Leonard "Bob" Branch

WEATHERFORD -- Robert “Bob” Branch, 83, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 7, 2016, in Weatherford. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016, at North Side Baptist Church, 910 North Main St., Weatherford, Tex. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Memorials: The family requests that memorial donations be made to North Side Baptist Church Building Fund. Bob was born to Carlos & Edna (Thompson) Branch on August 5, 1933 in Bluffton, Georgia. He was devoted to God, Family and Country. He enlisted in the Army at age 15 and began his 21 years of service to our country where he was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. After he retired as a 1st Sergeant from the Army in 1971 he began his career as a salesman for Sears and Roebuck. He then managed a peach orchard in Weatherford before establishing and managing BTK Electric. He retired from BTK Electric and followed the Lord's calling into the Ministry where he pastored at Ballew Springs Baptist Church of Weatherford and SE 1st Street Baptist Church of Mineral Wells. Upon retiring he devoted time ministering to family and friends in any way God would call him. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael; and sisters, Edna McFadden, Dorothy Jeter, Hazel Brewer. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Shirley Branch; son, Don Branch and wife, Holly, of Weatherford; daughters, Theresa Stuhff and husband, Mark, of Mineral Wells, Perri Long of Graford, and Karen Branch of Weatherford; granddaughters, Jamie Acuff of Mineral Wells, Melissa Stuhff of Belton, Rebekah Long of Graford; grandsons, Michael Branch and wife, Jessica, of Keller, Stephen Branch and wife, Amy, of Moore, Okla., Ethan Niemann and wife, Jacye, of New Braunfels; 10 great-grandchildren, Tavis Acuff, Paige & Karley McCarthy, River Foreman, Cooper, Avery and Presley Branch, Roman, Clark and Jolie Branch; brothers, Carlos and wife, Carolyn, Tommy and wife, Margaret, Billy and wife, Patsy; sister, Margaret Beckham; and many nieces and nephews.
