Lawrence Winkenweder, 84, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017. Graveside Service:12:30 P.M. Tuesday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Monday at White's Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 2630 W. Freeway, Ste. 250, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Lawrence was born in Havre, Montana October 10, 1932 to Lloyd and Mearl Nystrom Winkenweder. He enjoyed going RVing in their motorhome and enjoyed being with people. Lawrence and Melba were the Camp Host in Glacier Park, Montana and liked going to Arizona in the winter, playing card games and reading. He was a member and past president of Allegro RV Club. For over 30 years, Lawrence had a career in banking, he retired at age 58 from Citibank. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Loving wife of 61 years, Melba Winkenweder; sons, Brett Winkenweder and wife, Debbie, Bruce Winkenweder, and Barry Winkenweder and wife, Pamela; brother, Don Winkenweder and wife, Gloria; sister, Sharon Daum; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, cousins and loving family members.
