Weatherford - Wylie Burr Cartwright, Jr., 80, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2017.Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Saturday in Evergreen Cemetery, Lipan.Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.Wylie was born June 29, 1936 in San Angelo, son of Wylie Burr Cartwright, Sr. and Minnie Blanche Watkins Cartwright. He met the love of his life, Patsy Jean Galloway, and they were married May 21, 1953 in Brownwood. They spent many happy years together and raised a beautiful family. Wylie proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was honorably discharged as a Private First Class. He graduated from college with a PHD. Wylie was called to be a Southern Baptist Minister and served as a Pastor for over 40 years in New Mexico, Texas, California and Nevada. He was a member of the Weatherford community since August of 2016.Wylie was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Nancy Ligon.Survivors: Wife of 63 years, Patsy Jean Cartwright of Weatherford; children, Mickey Lynn Inzer and husband, Robert, of Dallas, Wylie Burr Cartwright, III, and wife, Lynette, of Weatherford, Jamie Leigh Goodman and husband, Michael, of Tucson, Ariz., Lisa Kay Godin of Robert Lee, Jacqulyn Paulette Shore and husband, Chris, of Junction; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Cartwright of Hopkinsville, Ky., Dale Cartwright of Stephenville, Wade Cartwright of Grants Pass, Ore., Paul Cartwright of Moriarty, New Mex., Robert Cartwright of Bentonville, Ark., Havis Cartwright of Escondido; sisters, Kay Payne, and Roberta Geoff, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; and many other loving family members, church family, and friends.White's Funeral Home, Weatherford
