Lois Dianne Boatwright Collins passed away quietly in her home surrounded by her family March 23, 2017, in Springtown, Tx. Dianne loved gardening and was an avid reader putting the Springtown library to good use. In her younger years she played the piano and sang in her church choir, even serving as interim choir director. Gospel and country music were her favorites. She loved to cook, particularly at the holidays, and make grape jelly. Dianne had a dry, wicked sense of humor with an infectious “throw your head back” laugh that zipped through the room. Upon turning 50 yr old, she adopted Ouiser’s philosophy, “I’m not as sweet as I used to be” (circa Steel Magnolias). She was passionate about her support of animal welfare including the Spay-Neuter Network, TCAP, SPCA and others. She rescued many litters of feral kitties and placed them in forever homes. She loved her own dear cats (& dogs) who brought her much joy throughout life. Dianne enjoyed and lived life. She loved her children fiercely and no one could have been more loved by her family. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents, Randall Jacob Boatwright and Willie Lee Haley.Survivors are her loving husband Toby Reynolds; Daughter, Dr. Melody Dawn Phillips; Son, Anthony Brian (Tony) Phillips; Sister, Majorie Williamson and husband, Joe; Grandson, Dylan Hennessy and several nephews, nieces, and loving family members. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Spay/Neuter Network (ww.spayneuternet.org/donate) or Texas Coalition for Animal Protection.
