MILLSAP - Mary Jane Pollard Bowden, 57, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017.Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017, First United Methodist Church, 301 S. Main St., Weatherford.Graveside: Oakland Cemetery.Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave, Weatherford.Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made in Mary Jane's memory to www.texasdpsfoundation.orgMary Jane was born December 15, 1959 in Fort Worth, daughter of Richard Dean Pollard and Marolyn Cleere Pollard. She married the love of her life, Bobby Bowden on June 6, 1987 at the First United Methodist Church of Everman, and they were blessed with two sons. Mary Jane and Bobby spent many happy years together. She graduated from nursing school in 1983. During her nursing career she worked in ICU and Burn Units, as well as several years as a hospice nurse in Parker County. Mary Jane devoted a lot of time volunteering with a disabled children's riding program. She loved fishing with friends at her Ranch on the Brazos River, spent many hours playing with her beloved dogs and listening to music while watching the sun go down. Mary Jane will be deeply missed by all she touched.She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Dean Pollard; and grandparents.Survivors: Husband of 29 years, Bobby Bowden; sons, Bo Bowden and Coleman Bowden; mother, Marolyn Cleere Pollard; sister, Libby Davis and husband, Lan; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and beloved pets.Services are in care of White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
