Verlie Lorene Rodriguez

SPRINGTOWN – Verlie Lorene Rodriguez., 79, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017.   Verlie was born in Miami, Florida, July 6, 1937, daughter of Clarence Marvin Parker and Myrtle Adda Lyst.  She married the love of her life, Carlos “Rod” Rodriguez November 10, 1960, in Miami, Florida and they spent many happy years together raising their family.  Her family was the light of her life and she loved to sew and quilt and many other arts and crafts.  Verlie was committed to God, family and country.  She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Chapter #498, of Texas and was Past Worthy Matron from 1997-1998.  Verlie was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Dakota Garret Rodriguez.   Services:  Visitation:  Tuesday, April 4, 2017, 6-8 PM White’s Funeral Chapel Springtown.  Funeral Service:  Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 10 AM White’s Funeral Chapel Springtown. Interment:  Springtown Cemetery following service.   Survivors:  Husband:  Carlos “Rod” Rodriguez Sons:  Carlos Adrian Rodriguez and wife, Melissa E.; Gerardo Mario Rodriguez and wife, Julie Ann. Granddaughters:  Cheyenne Grace Rodriguez, Michala Adrian Rodriguez and Savannah Lynn Rodriguez.
