Richard Sams, 52, loving father and brother passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Service: 11:00 A.M. Saturday in White’s Azle Chapel. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 9 to 11 A.M. Saturday at White’s Azle Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Leg Up Program, 1212 E. Lancaster Ave., 3rd floor, Fort Worth, TX 76102. Richard was born November 19, 1964 in San Antonio to Harold Kruse and Carolyn Ann Armstrong Sams. He was an outstanding guitarist, loved horseback riding, team roping, vintage cars and was an avid sports fan especially the Texas Rangers. Richard was a member of Crosswalk Church in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors: Daughter, Mary Ann Sams; son, Ryan Allen Sams; sister, Mary Edwards and husband, Buddy; brother, Eddie Kruse and wife, Holli; step-sister, Marie Valden; step-brothers, Oran Sams and wife, Stacie, Stinson Sams; several nephews, nieces and loving family members.
